Welcome to Positive Thought Warrior. I am excited to introduce you to thinking your way to a positive, happy life. My book is coming out early next year but in the meantime, I hope you will come back here often as the Positive Thought Warrior movement grows and expands. If you are looking for inspiration and ideas for living your best life you are in the right place.
To learn more, here is my story:
I grew up the daughter of a prominent psychiatrist, a healer and spiritual guru, a leader in the new age movement of the 1960’s in the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up I wondered how my spiritual upbringing and would serve me as an adult.
When I was 30 years old and still searching for my path, I injured my back. I was unable to live as I did before the injury. I looked for an answer but no one had answers that would heal me. My injury, my pain, unexplained to me, put me on a journey. For the past 10 years, I owned an exercise studios on both U.S. coasts. In 2012, I launched my own exercise method, NextBarre. I welcomed people with injuries and pain to take my classes and I found purpose in seeing them heal. I taught my clients to exercise safely and educated inspiring instructors how to teach others.
When things got tough and I learned a new kind of pain, one that was harder to heal, the world started to open up. The realities and stresses of being a business owner and all the entanglements that come along with it became overwhelming. My hair was falling out, I was sleeping 18 hours per day, and I was having a hard time staying above negative chatter. I knew I had to turn around and change direction but wasn’t sure how. The lessons I was teaching for external pain management I began to apply to everyday life and it was magical.
I thought about what I learned in my childhood and I concluded that releasing pain is, in some cases, more about internal thought process than postures and poses. You can feel better almost instantly by moving thought patterns. My teaching is now focused on helping my clients create their best lives full of happiness.
More information will be coming soon on how to learn my Positive Thought Warrior method and everyday tips on how to become a Positive Thought Warrior.
